PacDyn is a production-grade software package for the analysis and
control of small-signal stability of large power systems. PacDyn employs
state-of-the-art algorithms for the calculation of poorly-damped eigenvalues,
dominant poles and transfer function zeros, transfer function residues,
linear time response and frequency response plots, generator synchronizing
and damping torques. It has been used in the stabilization studies
of six large interconnected systems, in various parts of the world.
The program is suitable for use in sub-synchronous resonance
(ssr) studies, and incorporates advanced svc and tcsc models
for this purpose.
An important feature is the ability to read various network and
dynamic data file formats, allowing smooth integration with other
power system analysis packages .
